Our Model

Set to Succeed aspires to provide safe and affordable housing, while at the same time, teach all the life skills required to live an independent and meaningful life beyond S2S support. Our prosocial approach will foster the skills required for independent living in areas such as safe and secure accommodation, finance, health and wellbeing, education and training/employment, social connection and inclusion.

Pilot Program Model

  • 2 x 4 Bedroom Townhouses - Located in Townsville.

  • Live in House Manager, 24/7 Support.

Key Characteristics

Supported Tenancy

  • Participant learns to maintain a home, build good tenancy skills, pay rent on time, and be a good neighbour.

Employment

  • Participant gains skills and qualifications leading to long-term employment options and/or small business management.

Financial 

  • Participant creates a positive money mindset and learns about basic savings and investment strategies, as well as managing household expenses and paying taxes.

Leadership

  • Participant learns emotional regulation, leadership skills, and becomes a positive role model and inspiration.

Life Skills

  • Participant learns important life skills to maintain a home and healthy life. Participant develops independence and learns to drive.

Cultural Connection & Closing the Gap

  • Participant explores cultural identity and feels proud to share their knowledge, skills, and experiences with others.

  • Participant learns basic business skills and is supported to become self-employed or a small business owner, should they choose this path. Connections with mentors and business leaders are facilitated.
